Killer of beloved coach faces prison time

ALBANY - Shaquille Owens, the parolee who bluntly admitted he gunned down beloved Pop Warner football coach Joseph Davis outside a Central Avenue nightclub in September, is scheduled to be sentenced by acting state Supreme Court Justice Roger McDonough.Owens, 25, of Livingston Avenue, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder last month and, as part of a plea bargain, faces 20 years to life at his sentencing.
