Keeler challenges Morse for Cohoes mayor

COHOES — Former State Police Major William T. Keeler announced his candidacy for mayor on Tuesday.Keeler, a lifelong city resident, will challenge Mayor Shawn Morse in the Democratic primary on June 25.Keeler retired from the State Police in 2016 after 30 years in law enforcement. He started out as a Cohoes police officer before becoming a trooper, eventually rising through the ranks to command Troop G, which patrols the Capital Region.
