Grant could help reopen Cohoes center, assemblyman says

COHOES – Assemblyman John T. McDonald III said he has obtained a $500,000 state grant to assist an organization buy the closed Cohoes Community Center and reopen it to serve city residents."We have a few interested parties however the due diligence is important and that has been underway the last two months.I am hopeful we will find a new owner," McDonald, D-Cohoes, said in a posting on his Times Union blog Sunday.
