Gloversville mayor resigns after admitting misconduct

GLOVERSVILLE - The Gloversville Mayor, who police said had been using City Hall's postage meter for personal mail and then falsified records, resigned Wednesday.Dayton King, 40, plead guilty to official misconduct, a misdemeanor, in Gloversville City Court and admitted to the misuse of the City's postage meter, Wednesday. As part of the plea deal King was also required to step down as Mayor in exchange for the felony charges he faced to be dropped, as reported.
