Downed power lines closes Rotterdam road

ROTTERDAM - Part of Putnam Road was closed Friday after a car crash toppled a utility pole, police said.The closure occurred before dawn in a stretch between Mariaville Road and Currybush Connection.Police said rain was to blame for the crash which did not injury any of the people inside the car. Crash down power lines and National Grid was on the scene to restore service.
