Cohoes murderer asks for conviction to be overturned

The man convicted of killing a Cohoes teenager as revenge for a drug robbery might get a new trial.Thomas Slivienski will have a hearing on Tuesday after his attorney filed a motion last week to get his conviction thrown out, saying prosecutors failed to disclose that a key witness was suffering from side effects of a car crash when she testified, including memory loss.
