Clifton Park community solar farm completed

CLIFTON PARK -  The Sugar Hill Solar Farm in Clifton Park, the town's first "community solar" farm that allows utility customers to get a portion of their electric supply from a local solar array, is holding its ribbon-cutting on Tuesday, Oct. 22 on Sugar Hill Road.The 40-acre site has 20,000 solar modules and is expected to produce enough electricity to power 600 homes. Local utility customers who subscribe to the solar farm can typically save 10 percent on their electric bills.
