Imagine if a day after apologizing for his behavior and the pain he caused, Eliot Spitzer returned to declare that, on second thought, he really hadn't patronized those prostitutes.The world would have laughed itself silly. At a certain point, the Crest toothpaste is all over the sink and there's no getting it back in the tube.And so it is with Ralph Northam, who is experiencing the most disastrous week by a governor since Spitzer's memorable downfall.
