Churchill: Lockdowns and George Floyd's killing bring an unraveling

History teaches us that mass unemployment, particularly of the young, often leads to civil unrest and violence.The coronavirus gave us mass unemployment like nothing we've seen, in this country, since the Great Depression. And now, following the killing of an unarmed black man by a police officer in Minneapolis, we have civil unrest, with violence not only in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, but in Denver, Atlanta and in cities all around the country.
