Cascades plant closure will eliminate 96 jobs in Waterford

The closure of the Cascades Inc. tissue converting plant in Waterford will eliminate 96 local jobs, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the state Labor Department. The Waterford plant, and another in Kingman, Ariz., will be closed effective March 27, 2020.The two plants together produce 9 million cases of tissue products annually and together have 213 employees.
