Authorities probe train derailment in Hoosick

HOOSICK — Emergency workers remained at the scene Thursday of a train derailment that knocked several tanker cars - some carrying propane - off the tracks.None of the gas leaked after the incident along Hoosick Junction Road, a remote spot near North Hoosick.A handful of homes in the area were evacuated after the derailment occurred on Wednesday evening. It is not yet clear whether the residents have returned to their homes.
