Albany to remove Emerald Ash Borer-diseased trees in Beverwyck Park

ALBANY - Trees infested with the Emerald Ash Borer will be removed in the coming months to make way for "urban-tolerant" oak trees, according to the city of Albany Department of General Services.The department will begin removing ash trees infested with the invasive insect in Beverwyck Park along Washington Avenue, officials said. Trees will be removed this month along Washington Avenue between Partridge and Ontario streets.
