Albany schools beef up security, alarms after BB gun incidents

Students returning to Albany High after the recent break are encountering some changes, in the form of additional alarms on the doors. And youngsters at O'Neal Middle School will find their building is open 15 minutes earlier, at 7:20 a.m., to allow for more thorough inspections of students who are entering the building.The security upgrades follow two incidents in December in which students were caught bringing BB guns into both the high school and middle school.
