Albany Fire Department replacement funds OK'd

ALBANY — Rusty, old, constantly breaking down — and a safety issue. That's how the Union President of the city's fire department described eight of their emergency vehicles.The Albany Common Council Finance Committee approved the fire departments request Wednesday night for about $1 million so they can replace these eight vehicles that firefighters use most days. The city's capital plan had budgeted for the replacements.
