Albany council approves 2020 budget with 9-5 vote

ALBANY - The Albany Common Council on Monday approved Mayor Kathy Sheehan’s proposed $179.58 million spending plan for 2020.Council members grappled with raises for some non-union city workers and also discussed the ongoing concern of neighborhoods being neglected prior to voting 9-5 approving the 2020 budget with minor changes Monday.
