Airlift Wing returns from Antarctica

GLENVILLE-Nearly two dozen members of the Air National Guard's famed 109th Airlift Wing returned Friday morning from their mission to Antarctica.Since October, six LC-130 ski-equipped aircraft and 551 airmen deployed to McMurdo Station on Antarctica. The operation based at Stratton Air National Guard base supports the U.S. Antarctic research efforts at the South Pole.
