ALBANY — Ellazar Williams still wants his day in court.Just weeks after all charges against him were dropped, the 19-year-old accused Albany police of lying. He told me repeatedly that he did not have a knife in his hand when Detective James Olsen shot him on Aug. 20, 2018, following a short foot chase in which Williams failed to heed Olsen's command to stop.
