2019 Caucus Weekend kicks off Friday

The state Legislature's minority caucus kicks off its annual weekend conference on Friday.The Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators is the nonprofit arm of the state's minority legislative caucus, which for the first year ever boasts leaders of both the Assembly and the Senate.Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, D-Westchester, and Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, D-Bronx, both made history as the first black lawmaker to lead their respective house.
