The Cliff Cowboys earned the program’s 12th state championship, beating Springer 56-45 on Saturday morning in the Pit. Holt Shelley, a 6-foot-9 senior, scored 19 points and had 19 rebounds for Cliff (22-6). Springer was led in scoring by Estevan Romero with 22, including five 3-pointers.
