Winter weather advisory issued for Sierra Nevada

A winter weather advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service starting at 11 p.m. tonight for Sierra Nevada that could pose problems for motorists crossing the passes through Saturday afternoon.Snow could begin to accumulate above 6,000 feet , reaching 3-6 inches in the lower elevations and increasing to 6-12 inches above 7,000 feet, according to the advisory.Forecasters warn that snow could create slick and icy roads with the worst conditions lasting through late Saturday morning.T
