Update: Lyon County deputy shot after alleged carjacking

A Lyon County deputy was hospitalized late Thursday after a shooting in Silver Springs.The incident occurred around 10 p.m., at a Silver Springs casino after deputies located a vehicle that matched the description of a vehicle involved in an alleged carjacking in Sparks earlier that evening. Sparks police reported at 8:30 p.m. that a car had been stolen with what was believed to be four suspects. When deputies approached the vehicle, a suspect allegedly fired at a Lyon County deputy, hitting him
