To cut wait times, Nevada DMV hires 93
Officials with the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles say they’ve hired 93 new employees this month in an effort to reduce crowding and cut down on wait times. DMV officials say 70 of the new workers will be in Las Vegas, and 23 will be in Reno. The new hires are currently in training. The agency has watched wait times soar from an average of 42 minutes in 2013 to an average of nearly two hours in the first half of 2015.
