State Board of Education member Dave Cook dies at 65

Dave Cook, a veteran member of the state Board of Education, died Oct. 12 in a Reno hospital.Cook, 65, had suffered from health problems.News of his death came when his daughter, Danielle, posted his passing on her Facebook page.Cook was first elected to the Board of Education in 1996 and served until his death.He was a fourth generation Nevadan who graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas in 1968.
