‘Spring’ in Northern Nevada

Carson City received a little more than 2 inches of snow as of 10 a.m. Monday as a storm brought winter back into people’s minds.A day after the temperature was in the 60s, Carson City’s high was in the mid-30s.In Reno-Sparks the snow fell at a rate of about one inch per hour leaving more than 8 inches in some places.Snowfall ranged from 12 inches north of Spanish Springs and 11 inches in northeast Sparks, to about 8 inches in Reno and 7 inches in Fernley, the weather service said.
