Sandoval’s big tax package heads toward passage in Assembly

Gov. Brian Sandoval’s $1.1 billion package of new and extended taxes was headed for a vote on the Assembly floor Sunday afternoon, with all indications signaling passage by the lower house and adjournment of the Legislature by the midnight deadline Monday.
