Person dies in Silver Springs fire

A person died at in the 1700 block of 10th Street in Silver Springs Monday morning.Central Lyon Co. Fire received a report of a structure fire at 8:53 a.m. The Engine and Battalion Chief arrived on scene at 9:08 a.m. to find the residence charged with smoke. Upon entry the crew located a victim and extinguished a room and contents fire. The victim died at the scene. The fire is currently under investigation by the Nevada State Fire Marshal’s Office.
