New water, sewer rates go into effect in Carson City Friday

New water and sewer rates go into effect July 1.The monthly water base charge for a typical single-family home is going from $24.15 for the first 2,000 gallons to $25.72 for the first 1,000 gallons. The next 4,000 gallons are now $1.61 per 1,000 gallon versus $1.44 per 1,000 gallons for next 3,000 gallons.
