Nevada Legislature: Big price tag on Clark County School District breakup study

Lawmakers are estimating that a study on breaking up the Clark County School District within the next two years will cost close to $1 million. Assembly members reviewed the financial details of AB394 on Monday in the Assembly Ways and Means Committee. Republican bill sponsor Assemblyman David Gardner said the measure would charge an interim committee with studying how to break up the nation’s fifth largest school district before the 2017-18 school year.
