Man arrested in connection with Payless Shoe Source robbery

A man police believe robbed an east valley shoe store at gunpoint Thursday morning is in custody. The Payless Shoe Source at 581 N. Eastern Ave., near the intersection at Bonanza Road, was robbed at 10:14 a.m., police said. The man then fled through the parking lot and was last seen walking north on Bonanza toward Eastern, Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.
