Lyon County deputy shot after alleged carjacking

A Lyon County deputy was hospitalized late Thursday after a shooting in Silver Springs.The incident stems from an alleged carjacking in Sparks. Sparks police reported at 8:30 p.m. that a car had been stolen with what was believed to be four suspects. The car was spotted at the a Silver Springs casino where a suspect allegedly fired at a Lyon County deputy.The deputy was hit but was able to return fire and hit a suspect.
