Las Vegas Valley sees rare snow storm

LAS VEGAS — An overnight storm in the Las Vegas area brought rain and enough snow on the western flank of the valley for people to make snowmen. About 1.5 inches of snow fell in Summerlin, located west of Las Vegas, said National Weather Service meteorologist Clay Morgan.
