Gov. Brian Sandoval signs bill creating broader regulations on drones

Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval has signed a bill into law that creates a regulatory framework for private and police use of drones. The governor signed AB239 on Tuesday. The bill unanimously passed the Assembly and Senate. The measure was sponsored by Democratic Assemblyman Elliot Anderson and creates new regulations on how police agencies and public citizens can fly unmanned aerial vehicles, also known as drones.
