Fire destroys Silver Springs residence

Lyon County firefighters responded on Monday afternoon to a structure fire in Silver Springs. Central Lyon County Fire District Chief John Gillenwater said the home on Tamarack and East 2nd streets was “quite a distance out” and was fully involved when they arrived on scene.
