Douglas County man who robbed mother dies in prison

A Nevada state prison inmate who was convicted of robbing his 82-year-old mother in Douglas County six years ago has died less than a week before he was scheduled to be considered for parole. Department of Corrections officials confirmed 64-year-old Gregory Kovner died Saturday at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Reno. An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death.
