Custom airplane makes emergency landing near Fernley

FERNLEY — A married couple was forced to make an emergency landing in their small custom airplane along U.S. 95 near Fernley. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports the pair were traveling from Wisconsin to California in a custom Marquart MA-6 Charger. They stopped in Elko and then in Winnemucca for fuel. Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Karen Garretson says the plane was having fuel problem when it was forced to land Wednesday. She described the plane as a small experimental aircraft. Garretson says
