Carson City Strings in the Summer student music program starts Monday

The Carson City Symphony’s free Strings in the Summer, a six-week program for string players of all ages, starts Monday at Carson Mall under the direction of Symphony Education Director Sue Jesch. Three classes, which meet from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., are offered each week. Each class features at least one new tune. The Monday class, Introduction to Fiddle and Folk Music, is designed primarily for younger students, and for violinists, violists and cellists of any age who have limited experience. T
