Carson City residence destroyed in fire

A Carson City residence was destroyed in a fire late Monday afternoon.Fire crews responded a little after 4 p.m. after reports of a house fire at 500 W. Long Street. No one was inside the residence at the time of the fire.It took crews nearly 45 minutes to put out the fire, which had engulfed the entire house.
