Carson City Jail receives upgrade

The Carson City Jail is getting a face lift.The 17-year-old facility is getting retrofitted with a new $200,000 control system, that will improve the locking mechanisms and other systems within the jail. This remodel is coming because of difficulties with finding replacement parts for the systems, said Sheriff Ken Furlong.
