Carson City forum touts trails

Five experts and others touted community trails, their benefits to health, the economy and environment at a Thursday night forum in Carson City.The Sierra Nevada Forums event was billed as a discussion of the importance and benefits of trails to communities.“I think it’s underestimated how important our open spaces are,” said Garrett Villanueva, the U.S. Forest Service acting regional trail coordinator who has spent years on the trail systems near Lake Tahoe. He said the benefits of trail
