Carson City deputy killed after responding to call; suspect also dead

A Carson City Sheriff’s deputy was killed early this morning after responding to a domestic disturbance call. At 2:18 a.m., Carson City Sheriff’s deputies responded the 4100 block of Montez Drive for a report of battery with injury. On their way to the scene, deputies found an injured woman. Within minutes, a man came out of the residence and opened fire on officers.One deputy was taken to the hospital where he later died. The officer’s name has not been released in order to co
