Carson City Board of Supervisors to take up utility connection fee hikes

Carson City’s Board of Supervisors will tackle whether to charge developers significantly higher utility connection fees Thursday.The fees, which could increase tenfold over several years and return to pre-recession levels, are expected to clear the board as worked out through the Utility Financial Oversight Committee. That committee is charged at Thursday’s meeting with a reporting to the city’s governing board. The committee had more than one crack at the matter and dealt wit
