Carson City author to hold book reading

Carson City author Joe Burgess will be holding a book reading Jan. 21.Burgess’s book, “The Trip” centers around a true experience he had in 1977, a 6,000 mile kayaking excursion down the coast of Mexico with two friends. “I always thought it was a great story to tell,” Burgess said in a radio interview.It took him nearly 10 years to write the book before it was finally completed.
