TWRA asking boaters to help stop spread of mussel

MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is asking boaters in East Tennessee to help stop the spread of a destructive mussel species after it was found in Cherokee Lake. The Kingsport Times-News reports an angler reported finding what appeared to be zebra mussels near a TWRA boat ramp in November.
