Fugitive wanted on sexual abuse charges captured in Murfreesboro

A fugitive wanted for sexual abuse charges in Florida was nabbed Thursday in Murfreesboro by Rutherford County Sheriff's Office deputies. Fugitive David L. Smalls, 44, of Elko, S.C., was taken into custody about 9 a.m. at the Pilot service center on South Church Street, said Sheriff's Detective Chuck Thomas, who is assigned to the U.S. Marshal's Task Force.
