Deadly weather extremes in Texas

You can add North Texas to the list of areas struck by deadly storms this holiday weekend across the U.S. On Saturday night the National Weather Service confirmed a tornado touched down near Garland, TX, which is a northeastern suburb of Dallas. As of 11:00 PM CT Saturday, reports were of at least eight people killed by multiple tornadoes across the region. That figure is likely to rise as emergency crews reach areas hit by the storm.
