Commentary: Snake oil: still for sale

It is my understanding that ads, by whatever means they are presented, are designed to make the reader/viewer aware of the product or service and possibly to influence him/her to buy or use it. However, some ads are so obtuse that it's hard to believe that some PR firm was actually paid for producing them.
