Sacramento Unity Center opens in response to 1999 ‘Summer of Hate’

More than a year after a woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Elverta, the suspect turned himself in at the Sacramento County Jail. Investigators have been working leads this entire time and finally had enough evidence to issue an arrest warrant. Berkley Austin Dorfer, 21, turned himself in on Thursday. Donna Zurfluh, 68, was killed on June 18, 2016, while on her daily walk on Elverta Road.
