Sacramento County approves panic button for hotel employees
Sacramento County Board of Supervisors voted 4 to 1 Tuesday night to require hotels and motels in the unincorporated area of the county to supply panic buttons or other notification devices to employees in case they face sexual harassment. The ordinance states these devices should be provided at no cost to the employee and are designed to be used only in an emergency to summon hotel security or other appropriate staff.
