Post-drought, Davis trees continue to face challenges

The landscape around Davis has shifted, reflecting residents' efforts to transform lawns into drought-tolerant environments along with stormy winters and arid summers that threaten to thin out Davis' urban tree canopy. Since June 2010 - as the drought was just beginning - Davis has lost 1,767 trees.
