Modesto mom, fiance arrested in toddler's death

A Modesto couple was arrested on murder and torture charges in connection with the death of the woman's 3-year-old child, police said Friday. Someone called 911 about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday to report that a child had stopped breathing at a home in the 300 block of Standiford Avenue.
